Geomantic Earth Grid

What is the idea behind the Earth grid?

The Earth Grid is an area of research that encompasses people from many different countries and inter-disciplinary backgrounds. It is fair to say that the subject, for the most part, attracts the attentions of the 'mystically inclined' or New Age-types, and as such tends to lack the scientific rigor of other more reputable fields of inquiry. The Earth grid, simply put, can be described as a lattice of energy field lines that circumference the globe in a regular fashion. The lack of any concrete definition of what type of energy constitutes the field, or even any definitive way of measuring it, has meant that the subject has remained firmly within the bounds of pseudo-science and 'crack-pot' theories. There have, however, been a few attempts by scholars (Paul Devereux, for example) to approach the subject from a fair and balanced viewpoint, while still retaining an eye for criticism. His book, Shamanism and the Mystery Lines, relates some interesting findings, as to the possible nature of the field, as well as the importance our early ancestors have placed upon it.

The concept of the Earth Grid has, as its source, the teachings of the classical scholar Plato. Plato maintained that the world, in his day, was shaped like a dodecahedron and that, over time, it would evolve into an icosahedron. He believed that mathematical perfection existed independently of human reason, which was, in any case, cable only of generating approximations of these ideal shapes. The logic here is that no-one has ever managed to render a perfect circle, because of the rigorous nature of the task, and the general bumpiness of the spatial medium. In addition to this, Plato believed that man's understanding of concepts like; truth, justice and forgiveness, was equally obscured, and that these forms, as he called them, existed independently, somewhere in the Universe, as perfect geometric shapes; known as forms.

It is clear, therefore, that Plato was not literally stating that the Earth is dodecahedral in shape, but that its latent and perfect mathematical structure is. If we further extrapolate Plato's hypothesis of 'forms' onto this concept, we can say that the dodecahedron stage corresponds to a phase of human evolution geared towards the accumulation of knowledge, and that the icosahedron stage corresponds to man's need to develop the proper ethical structure to deal with the consequence of said knowledge. Therefore, the perfect geometric form of knowledge is the dodecahedron, and the perfect form of justice is the icosahedron.

Both of these shapes belong to a group known as the Platonic Solids. There are five of these; the Tetrahedron, the Cube, the Octahedron, the Dodecahedron, the Icosahedron. The importance, or strength, of these shapes lies in the fact that each of them, in turn, is the simplest and most economical method of filling the area of a sphere, without being a sphere itself.

When constructing your Earth grid, you can make any variety of transformations as you wish, provided the poles of your Platonic solid are aligned to the Earth's own rotational axis. There are many different programs available on the web to help you do this, but none of them worked for me, so I used Adobe Photoshop to make mine instead.

Personal Experience

Considering that I am going to launch into a full expose of my new Earth Grid theorem, I thought it only proper to say a few words about my own experience, with all things geomantic.

The Black Lines

One day while walking the grounds of a school in my hometown, I saw a network of dark lines crisscrossing the football fields nearby. The area of the lines was only slightly dark than that of the surrounding grass, but their meticulous straight paths, as well as the shear numeracy of them, attracted my curiosity. When I tried to point the lines out to the person I was with, there was the inevitable confusion, as she assumed I meant the white lines of the football field. But, inevitably, she saw them to and we where both mystified by their appearance.

The black lines looked not unlike the dark grass of fairy rings, and for a while I toyed with the notion that they could have been the remains of ancient fairy rings, that had extended into straight lines over time. But this was patently absurd. Later, while researching Earth grids, I discovered that the phenomena is actually quite well known. The website crystal links has this to say about the black lines phenomena;
Black lines seem to be naturally generated, although quite how is not known. They may be localized and do not form a network in the same way as Hartmann and Curry lines. This could be similar in nature to the "sha", or deadly energy lines of Chinese Feng-Shui. They can be curved, straight, at ground level or higher, even found in the upper levels of buildings. There have been described 2 types of Black lines, one as "black and depressed", the other as "shiny, black, hard and sharp." They could possibly represent the flow lines of a negative type of "orgone-type" energy as described by Wilhelm Reich.

The White Flame

The next instance of geomantic observation happened a few months later, when I was out for a stroll in the Wicklow Mountains. I was looking out over a wide glacial valley, when all of a sudden I spotted a huge white flame sticking out of the ground. It was some distance away, but I could tell it was about 60 metres in height and very slender. It flickered with an opaque glow but the winds did not perturb its motion. On this occasion, I was again with another person who could verify what I saw. I have since pinpointed the exact location of the flaming pillar, which can only be seen from an ancient burial site, high on a mountainside, known as St. Kieran's. The flame appeared to be located on the grounds of an old country estate, near what looks to be a cowshed or barnyard. There are many tall oak trees in this area that were dwarfed by the lofty flame. I am amazed that no one else saw this, as it occurred not far from a main road. I can only deduced that the white skies, which are common in this region of the world, obscured the view of low lying observers, while my high vantage point allowed the comparatively dark landscape to serve as a backdrop to the spectacle.

As an additional note, let me just say that the Wicklow Mountains are an undeniably enchanted place, and that the white flame is, in all likelihood, energy venting from etheric pockets hidden beneath the landscape. I have no doubt that future generations will witness vast underground cities emerging from the rotund mountains of this area, in what should be revealing years to come.

Why do we need another Earth grid?

The consensus model of the Earth grid is based upon the well-known Becker-Hagens version (c. 1983).  The premise behind this, and other similar models, states that the Parisian Capital, and in particular the Eiffel Tower, represents the anchor point of one of the main vertices of the Earth grid. This notion was informed by the writings of Umberto Eco, who suggested that a private organization, in possession of secret knowledge, was attempting to effect geomancy by constructing over-sized landmarks, on key pressure points of the Earth’s telluric field. His book, he later confessed, was only intended to poke fun at conspiracy theorists and their laughable beliefs. But, it appears, that he did reveal this in time, as it has since been appropriated by these very same people. I was disappointed to discover that the basis for the Earth grid was not based on the enigmatic geometry of the continents themselves, but on a spurious reference to a work of fiction. Ultimately, I feel that Umberto Eco is not a good source of knowledge on this subject, and that empirical reasoning should be applied to deduce where the Earth Grid is situated.

How I went about doing this.

Ironically enough, my own initiation into Earth grid research came not from the environs of our home planet, but from the atmospheric anomalies on Jupiter (namely the hyper-dimensional hexagon that encompasses the north pole of this and all of the other planets in the solar system). Efforts made in the direction of locating the equivalent structure on Earth lead me to the ice-clad Antarctic continent at the South pole, which is vaguely hexagonal in shape. But if this was to be correct it would mean that the south pole is actually the north pole, and our planet, with respect to the rest of the Solar System, is ‘up-side down’; something that is patently ridiculous. Nevertheless, the Chinese believe that this to be somewhat true, which is why they orientate their atlases in the opposite direction to ours. A cursory glance at the continents from this angle reveals a tremendously regularity in the appearance of the southern continents; e.g. Africa and South America. Knowing that fractal geometry can be applied to coastlines, to infinite effect, I proposed that the structure of this regularity was informed by the fractal based geometry of the Golden Triangle; also known as the Golden Mean.

By placing a Golden Triangle over the nation of India, and aligning the phi devisor with the Himalayan Mountain Range, I was able to produce a Great Circle, which passed through Kabul, skirted the South Coast of the United Kingdom and traversed the hot spot from which the Hawaiian Islands were created. These four correspondences are very telling, I feel. After this I plotted the next phi devisor of the triangle by merely inverting the first. Now I had a mathematical basis on which to tether my Earth Grid. I would like to bring to your attention the distinct double helix nature of these two reference lines, as it applies to the structure of DNA (dioxyribo nucleic acid).

In general, only three of the Platonic Solids are used when constructing the Earth Grid, these are the dodecahedron, the icosahedron and the icosadodecahedron. Plato believed that the Earth grid was evolving from a dodecahedron into an icosahedron. In order for this to occur it must first pass through the intermediate phase, the icosadodecahedron, which is somewhere between the two. See diagram.

The Final Earth Grid

All the maps, you are about to see, are Mercator projections of polyhedral nets. These are quite troublesome to create, and while there may be some discrepancies – for example in the phi reference lines – I have at all times attempted to correct these within the Grid itself.

The three separate Earth Grids, as based on Plato’s evolving forms, are described below.

The dodecahedron net, which represents the accumulation of knowledge i.e. power. This is how the Earth grid appeared in Plato’s time.

The icosahedral net; this corresponds to the Platonic form of ethical living standards (justice/morality). This is how the Earth grid will appear sometime around the year 4371.

The icosadodecahedral net, as it will appear in the year 2012. It represents the cross over between the two Platonic forms. At this point in the evolution of man, the power elite has reached the height of its capacity and is going to be eroded by the emergence of a new kind ethical living practice. All of this is described in the technological singularity of 2012, and the consciousness awakening that is to follow. The word icosadodeca means 2012 and comes from Latin and Greek origins.

Finally we have all three Platonic Solids layered, one on top of the other. Notice how the interplay of lines appear to unlock a genetic sequence in keeping with the idea of man's (and the planet's) evolutionary journey. Later, I will try and update this page with all the information as to where major vertices of the grid sit relative to important places of interest on the Earth's surface.

Good bye and good luck.
